About Us

Uniquely Crafted is a family owned & operated business founded by our parents in 1989. Our mom started painting crafts at the kitchen table while being a stay-at-home parent. Once the business picked up, our dad retired from his job as a very successful feed salesman to help grow & expand the business to what we are today.  And WOW! How far we have come as small business owners.

Our parents had 4 children and we grew up traveling to the craft fairs, setting up shows, and working with the public at a very early age. As the oldest daughter, my 2 sisters and younger brother and I adventured into what would be a very rewarding life. Tho we were still little and complained about having to work, I must say that it built incredible character and a strive to be the best. Our parents have since retired leaving us kids in charge. Or at least letting us think we are.

After losing our original woodshop to a devasting fire in 2020, the second generation has rebuilt from the ground up- and today, we’re back stronger than ever! The shop is on our parents’ property in Michigan and this is where all the magic happens.

Bare plywood is delivered to one end of the building called the “wood shop” room where it begins the process of becoming a very beautiful Uniquely Crafted Sign. Between the 4 of us, we all take a little part in the designing of each sign by tracing it out on paper to hand mixing paint colors to get unique vibrant colors. Our brother, Bill(y) runs the wood shop using different saws, routers, and sanders to prepare signs of different shapes and sizes for us girls to then paint and bedazzle.

We now travel the Midwest attending some of the finest craft shows in the country, sharing our love for handmade, painted, wooden décor. Our signs are designed to bring color, laughter, and personality into any and every living space. From camp grounds, lake houses, pools, hot tubs, tiki bars, man caves, pets, sports teams, kids’ rooms, and seasonal décor – our pieces are sure to make you smile. Many of our signs can also be personalized by adding name(s) and people absolutely love receiving gifts that were especially made for them,

We are also known for refurbishing grape posts from vineyards as well as old utility poles, transforming them in to beautiful décor pieces with wooden accents and solar lighting. Pet feeding stands/ dish holders can also be found in our pet signs section.

Every sign is crafted with high quality materials, vibrant exterior paints, and a whole lot of heart. Along with attending shows, we sell online and wholesale to a few small boutiques.

We are very proud to have amazing customer satisfaction with many loyal, repeat customers year after year. Many customers started shopping with us 20 plus years ago and have watched us grow as a family. They soon become part of our journey and we are so honored to be part of their homes, and celebrations! We are even more proud that all of our products are MADE in the USA.
